In my home, our food tends to be seasonal.

It is fall, and that means more baking, more homemade breads, and stews.

We are in the house more, and I want the house to smell good, I find it keeps the residents happy!

We made these old fashioned Cinnamon Biscuits for breakfast, and I just had to share the recipe.

Note: Comfort Food, such as Sweet Cinnamon Biscuits, are not about health, these babies are packed with nothing good for your body, but they sure do bring smiles to the table and that is food for the soul!

2 Cups Flour

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

1 Tsp Salt

1/4 Tsp Baking Soda

1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil

3/4 Cup Buttermilk

 

Filling

8 Tbsp Butter, Softened

3/4 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp Cinnamon

Combine Dry Ingredients.  Mix in oil and buttermilk.  Knead dough lightly on floured surface.  Roll dough into 15×8 inch rectangle.

Mix all ingredients for filling.  Spread over dough.  Roll dough, so the log is 15 inches long. Slice into 8 slices.  Arrange in greased pie pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20min.

Serve Warm!
